Walk under the famous elephant tusks on Moi Avenue, which you probably have seen in those old African adventure movies. To conclude we will visit the Kamba wood carvers center. Here you can purchase a fine hand carved African souvenir.

Mamba Village Mombasa

The Mamba village centre is Africa’s largest crocodile farm. The site houses a beautiful botanical garden and a horse and camel riding area. The Crocodile farm offers an opportunity to learn life cycles and behaviors of crocodiles.

The most famous crocodile here is Big Daddy, who also happens to be the oldest crocodile in the farm and over 100 years of age. Apart from these attractions, the farm also houses a snake park, museum, fish farm and aquarium. The interesting time is when they are being fed. All crocodiles can be seen clearly and this is the time you should visit the Mamba Village Center.

The Mamba Village Center is one of the most popular places in the city and is a great place to embrace nature.

Haller Park

Haller Park

Haller Park is a nature park located in Mombasa, Bamburi along the Kenyan Coast. It was previously known as Bamburi Nature Trail. The park is an ecological area which was transformed from a quarry wasteland. In this recreation ground, you will find various animal and plant species which serve as a recreation hub for the locals and tourists.

Haller Park currently hosts a variety of wildlife which includes buffalos, hippos, giraffes and antelopes. Simiraly the park contains a game sanctuary, small demonstration fish farm area, crocodile pens, reptile park, giraffe viewing platform and a palm garden. Generally all these offer a variety of attractions at various points to entertain and educate tourists who visit the recreation hub every year.

Basically haller recreation ground is a haven for the botanist. It features a diversity of vegetation, from mangrove palms to coastal forests where such plants are rare and endangered.

Wasini Island lies in southeast Kenya three kilometers off the coast of the Indian Ocean. Further seventy five kilometers south of Mombasa and three kilometers opposite the harbor of the village Shimoni. The island is approximately seven kilometers long and three kilometers across.

The island offers a couple of activities one can undertake while touring the coastal strip. Altogether the tours include snorkeling, scuba diving, dhow sailing, swimming with the dolphins, sunset cruise and seafood dining.
